Tech Careers Top Best Jobs of 2017
In the Best Jobs of 2017 list released by CareerBuilder and EMSI, tech jobs are king. The report was determined by the following factors: 1) occupations that pay, on average, around $20 or more per hour 2) have grown faster than the overall labor market from 2012 to 2016 and 3) have a critical mass of jobs.
While the recent 2017 Best Jobs list provided by U.S. News is dominated by healthcare jobs, CareerBuilder's list shows technology jobs at the top. This disparity is likely due to the difference of years analyzed for growth and U.S. News incorporating factors like future job prospects and work-life balance.
“Our research shows that employers are very invested in expanding headcount in areas such as analytics and data science, product development and sales as they strive to stay competitive in B2B and B2C markets,” said Matt Ferguson, CEO of CareerBuilder.
