LinkedIn came up with a list of the most promising jobs for 2018 by analyzing jobs with high median salaries, strong job openings and year-over-year growth, and the jobs most likely to lead to a promotion or advancement within an organization, as well as the top five skills associated with each. Not surprisingly, tech jobs dominated this year's list.

When looking at skills, a big trend was soft skills. In fact, when 2,000 business leaders were surveyed, 57% of them said soft skills like leadership, communication, collaboration, and time management are more important than hard skills.
