MATRIX Fall 2018 IT Salary Survey
MATRIX just released its Fall 2018 IT Salary Survey, conducted in partnership with PayScale, to capture the typical total cash compensation for an individual’s job based on location, experience, education, certifications, and other factors. The data is a reflection of the typical percentile range (25th, 50th, and 75th) for 20 of the most common IT positions, based on the statistical median of compensation packages for similar profiles in the local market.
The roles with the biggest salary boosts year-over-year nationally were Oracle DBA (7.1% increase), UNIX Systems Administrator (7% increase) and Java/J2EE Developer (6.6% increase). The role with the biggest compensation decrease nationally was BI/Data Warehouse Developer with a 9.6% fall - of course, salary shifts vary in different markets.
