10 Hardest IT Jobs for Employers to Fill
In the 2018 State of the CIO report, employers reveal which tech jobs are most difficult to fill.
Employers today have to put in a lot of extra effort to find and retain talented professionals to fill the most in-demand tech roles.
“For me, sure, it’s about finding the right skills, but also knowing that treating my employees well by compensating and rewarding them means they’re happy,” says CEO Melissa Person-Ashforth. “That means they’re making a concerted effort to go the extra mile for customers, to keep pushing to learn more and acquire new skills.”
Of all tech jobs, more than a third (39%) of employers say they expect difficulty in finding appropriate skillsets to fill security and risk management positions. “Cybersecurity protections should be your No. 1 priority, always,” says Person-Ashforth. It's no surprise that cloud, AI, DevOps and Agile resources also make the list.
