Having acquired a very large Institutional Retirement & Trust (IRT) business in 2019, a Des Moines-based global financial services company needed to ensure it stayed on track for complete integration of people, processes and technology by 2021, despite challenges posed by COVID-19 and related market disruption. Success of the integration work was dependent on acquiring a combination of high-quality IT and professional contract talent to perform the work.
To sharpen its focus, the client conducted an RFP, narrowing its approved staffing vendors from 24 first-tier vendors down to eight, including MATRIX.
The client chose MATRIX for its ability to combine local market knowledge (having worked with other local financial services companies) with a scalable offshore/onshore delivery model, recruiting IT and professional roles such as Java Developers, Software Engineers, Info Security, Help Desk, Marketing, Call Center, and Administration jobs.
Since MATRIX didn’t have a physical presence in Des Moines at the time, recruiting was provided through a hybrid model where a network of domestic recruiters leaned on an offshore recruiting partner for most of the heavy lifting.
Success was immediate. Within a year, MATRIX was chosen as one of the top vendors for placing call center resources, prompting a physical recruiting and account management office in Des Moines.
“Our client is very happy that we are able to fill roles in every category. One day our recruiters may be working on customer service roles, then 24 hours later they might be finding cloud integration specialists or Salesforce developers. We are the only vendor in their ecosystem who can do staffing all the way around like this.”
Greg Meyer, Regional Manager, MATRIX
