As a key member of the Marketing UX team, no two days will be the same. You’ll work across teams and departments to research and develop new and innovative articles for the company blog sites and contribute SEO-driven copy ideas for new websites, digital ads, campaigns and more. Following the in-house style guide you’ll support the brand and voice standards to create engaging content for users across stakeholder groups. You’ll use your confident writing and proofreading skills, as well as an overall understanding of researching topics and repurposing old content, to breathe life into engaging blog articles while constantly improving content that might have aged. Bonus points if you also have experience in the industry and feel comfortable performing background research on relevant industry trends and changes to ensure articles stay with the times.
Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Generating, researching, and pitching ideas for blog topics, social posts, and emails.
- Writing, editing, publishing, and promoting content across channels and platforms.
- Creating new posts, social ads, emails, video scripts, and other methods to alert and attract new customers, and educate and engage current customers.
- Advocating and educating others about interests, products, or services.
- Maximizing site traffic by utilizing SEO keywords.
- Working with the Digital Marketing team to review responses to posts via the website, social media, or other platforms to better understand the audience.
- Staying current on industry trends for possible opportunities to attract new readers or create stronger, more engaging content.
- Interviewing stakeholders and subject matter experts to improve quality and ensure accuracy of articles.
- Actively seeking and integrating feedback from stakeholders to constantly improve content and engagement.
Requirements and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- Writing experience or familiarity with the industrial MRO space.
- Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills.
- Creativity and adaptability.
- Strong understanding of the target audience and industry trends.
- Proficiency with computers, especially content management software, social media platforms, MS Office, SEO keywords, and basic understanding of HTML.
