Position: Product Designer

Location: 100% Remote

Term: 3 Months w/potential conversion or extension

Join a great company and a fantastic and growing team as a UX Product  Designer to manage a team of dedicated UX professionals to design streamlined solutions.

As a Senior Designer, you will work closely with Product, Engineering, Analytics to make digital products usable and accessible. You are the type of person consider the user experience first and support design decisions with standard methodologies and data. You’re motivated, reliable and love to collaborate. By working closely with your team, you ensure solutions are both feasible and align with business’ goals and objectives – all while keeping up with trends and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct both generative and evaluative research to understand which problems to tackle and testing your proposed solutions

  • Synthesize research findings, feedback, analytics, collaborator input and business requirements to deliver optimized designs in an iterative, agile environment

  • Define and create information architectures, wireframes, user flows, UI and interactive prototypes

  • Create designs for multiple platforms, while keeping accessibility top-of-mind

  • Use and contribute to a design system serving products supporting multiple brands, ensuring consistency in interaction models and UI patterns

  • Actively participate in demonstrating work and research findings, partnering with product collaborators, engineering and leadership

  • Help improve the way the team works from iteration to iteration

Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI) or equivalent professional experience designing digital products and working with cross-functional teams

  • 2+ years people management or people leadership experience

  • 7+ years of related work experience in User Centered Design, or similar

  • Deep portfolio that wows with clear insights, problem-solving, that can tell a narrative about your work and its results

  • Proficient in Figma and have mastered the use of design systems that scale

Set Yourself Apart With

  • Experience designing for data and API driven applications using just-in-time methods

  • Experience in a mature Agile, fast-paced development environment

  • Validated ability to develop subject matter expertise and are curious by nature

  • Current understanding of web application development, including browser standard methodologies, event handling and reusable components

  • Understanding of modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular and Vue

  • Experience with Google Material Design

  • Proficiency in Jira, Hotjar, Google Analytics, Data Studio and Tag Manager

  • Emerging experiences – design for emerging technologies, i.e. AI, machine learning, AR/VR

  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS, interaction design and animation

  • Have designed across responsive web applications as well as native iOS and Android

  • Have designed for accessibility and to achieve WCAG standards
