This international financial services industry leader has immediate full-time needs in Cary, NC for a UX Designer. This AVP level role requires working onsite at least 2 days per week in a hybrid working model. Relocation and sponsorship is available. This UX Designer will be responsible for for delivering the signal framework to the compliance business. This is a project which would meet the regulators requirements to report rogue trading activities in the bank proactively and detect market abuse behavior.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support in user research to gather insights for new product. Participate in end-user and stakeholder interviews, workshops and user testing sessions.
• Assist in production of research related UX documents like journey maps, personas etc.
• Apply innovative thinking to design concepts; blending in user needs, business vision as well technical limitations.
• Effectively present ideas and concepts in form of wireframes, prototypes to a wider audience including stakeholders, developers, design team members and POs.
• Collaborate with business, designers and developers to create intuitive, user-friendly software which are aligned with design system.
• Work as part of a delivery team, collaborating with others to understand requirements, analyses and help refine stories, design solutions, document wireframes and test them.
• Contribute in building and maintaining common UI component and design library.
• Advocate the latest design trends and practices. Help create a culture of learning and continuous improvement within your team and beyond.
Requirements:
• 7+ years of industry experience in the field of user experience design/interaction design working on complex web applications. Have in-depth understand user centred design process as well as good asthetic sense.
• Extensive experience and proven track record of deliverying end-to-end experience – Starting from user research to concepts to design documentations.
• Ability to effectively communicate concepts and design rationale/
• A background in creating high-quality web-based user interfaces. An understanding of how to ensure these interfaces are easy to navigate, linkable, responsive and accessible.
• Proficiant in design and prototyping tools like Sketch, Figma and InVision.
• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Databases.
• Self-motivated to prioratise as well as manage workload.
The ideal candidate will also have:
• Behavior Driven Development, particularly experience of how it can be used to define requirements in a collaborative manner, ensure that the team builds the right thing and create a system of living documentation.
• Knowledge gained in Financial Services environments, for example products, instruments, trade lifecycles, regulation, risk, financial reporting or accounting.
• Working knowledge of user research techniques, visual designs, design library and front end technologies.
