Title: ULL Deployment Engineer
Type: Contract - 9 months
Location: New York, NY or Jacksonville, FL

Our client is seeking a ULL Deployment Engineer

Required Skills and Experience:
  • 10+ years’ experience working in a corporate global network environment, including 5 years in financial institutions
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strict adherence to change procedures and design/configuration guidelines
  • Able to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and support multiple projects
  • Exhibit a high degree of integrity
  • Self-starter and disciplined in your approach to work
  • Ability to evaluate emerging risks and solid business judgement
  • Expertise in routing and switching, including BGP, OSPF, HSRP, VRF, NAT, ACL’s and IP Multicast routing
  • Strong experience in multicast market data
  • Experience in on-boarding trading clients, exchange/venue and network service providers
  • Experience in building/supporting extranet and colo (HFAT) network technology
  • Experience with L1 matrix switching, Netoptics taps and Corvil latency analysis
  • Experience real-time messaging
  • Hands-on experience with CISCO ASR/ISR routers, Nexus 3K and 5K, and Catalyst 2K, 3K, 4K and 6K platforms
  • Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, Netflow
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools including Excel and Visio
 
Preferable Skills:
  • Cisco CCIE certified (Routing and Switching preferred) or equivalent skill level
  • Network Security knowledge including Extranets, Firewalls and Proxies.
  • Colo High Frequency Network design, implementation and maintenance
  • Extensive experience of using JIRA and Confluence will be a distinct advantage
  • F5 Deployment
  • Automation Development experience with Python, Terraform etc
  • Service Management managing SLA and service improvement initiatives
  • General level of understanding of a broad range of IT infrastructure technologies - DNS, Market Data, Unix / Linux, Wintel Servers, Storage.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL.
