This international financial services industry leader has immediate full-time needs in Cary, NC for a Technical Product Manager. This AVP level role requires working onsite at least 2 days per week in a hybrid working model. FIC Technology within Investment Bank Technology is responsible for managing end to end technology related to FX, Emerging markets, Rates, Credit and Listed Derivatives businesses. Within it, the Core Trading Technologies (CTT) team is responsible for management of a premier Ultra Low Latency trading platform spanning 20 datacenters in 4 regions and providing algorithmic execution, market data and post-trade services to over a dozen critical business applications in Equity Derivatives, FX, Rates, Credit and Commodities. The Core Trading Technologies team is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Technical Product Manager to lead and deliver the messaging book of work for this trading plant. 

Responsibilities 
• Employ a range of techniques to analyse problems and evaluate multiple solutions against engineering, business & strategic criteria.
• Design and drive adoption of a messaging, instrumentation and other shared services (CI/CD, network management, etc.) blueprint and solution selection criteria for the Bank’s trading plant.
• Based on this, project and product manage delivery of end-to-end first-class engineering solutions across a messaging platforms (UltraMessaging, TIBCO, Rendezvous, and/or Solace), instrumentation, observability and shared services platforms:
• Create and document roadmaps
• Create and manage budgets
• Communicate to stakeholders and create status reports
• Automate analysis and delivery using tools such as Python, Ansible, Terraform, etc. 
• Improve delivery standards, working practices, tools & solutions and driving adoption of automation tools.

Requirements:
• 3+ years experience in product management, in one or more of the following areas: messaging, instrumentation, DevOps, trading technology 
• 3+ years experience in technical project management preferred, preferred toolsets being Jira, Confluence, Clarity
• Experience with one or more of: Informatica UltraMessaging, TIBCO, Rendezvous, and/or Solace
• Experience with application development primarily with Python, but also Java and JavaScript frameworks such as HTML5, Spring, AngularJS, Durandal, etc.
• 7+ years experience working with geographically distributed application environments leveraging multicast messaging
• Networking knowledge: Ethernet basics, TCP/IP administration (routing, firewalls, etc), packet capture technology
• Knowledge of SQL-based database technologies, at least one of - PostgresSQL, KDB+, InfluxDB 
• Knowledge of UNIX a plus
• Understanding of software development lifecycle
• Experience developing\architecting front office trading systems would be considered a plus
