Responsibilities:

Responsible for in-scope processes related to one or multiple lines of business within the centralized Tax Information Reporting function.

Support the reduction/elimination of the company’s franchise & regulatory risk through accurate and timely reporting and enhanced due diligence on customer accounts.

Support company’s businesses and is expected to develop and enhance product knowledge within a short timeframe.

May be expected to migrate information reporting functions from various businesses. This process includes training and job shadowing, building documentation such as procedures and process flows, and identifying gaps in the process based on IRS regulations.

Execute functions from the Tax Information Reporting process tree including, but not limited to, tax form validation, withholding, information reporting, legal entity maintenance, and governance.

Act as a tax information reporting specialist to execute operational and project initiatives.

Act as an internally and externally recognized subject matter expert.

Migration of work into our centralized hub.

Develop best practices and implement appropriate procedures and controls to ensure consistent compliance with Information Reporting, FATCA, and/or CRS requirements.

Support the Service Delivery model with all stakeholders.

Identify and participate in process re-engineering and re-design activities to achieve better controls, compliance, and efficiencies.

Support audits by tax authorities and Internal Audit.

Support Technology projects from a tax technical perspective.

Contribute towards departmental requirement to adhere to strict regulatory and compliance requirements per tax authority and company policy.

Perform reviews of written tax policy and procedures, research and respond to inquiries from operational areas.

Liaison with Corporate Tax for complex tax advisory inquiries and policy requirements.

Bachelor’s degree is required.

1 to 2 years of tax analysis experience.
- Basic understanding of U.S. Tax Information Reporting Rules applicable to U.S. Persons and non-U.S. Persons.
- Basic understanding and working knowledge of IRS Forms W-9 and W-8 and their associated requirements; Forms 1098, 1099 series, and 1042-S; Forms 945 and 1042.
- Able to provide basic advisory services primarily for internal clients.
- Able to examine processes and procedures, experience with Process Re-engineering.
- Prefer re-design and process automation experience.
- Well versed in standard desktop technology with advanced Excel skills.
- Prefer Access experience.
