Position: Sr. Project Manager
Location: Deerfield Beach, Florida
Term: 6+ months


Our client is presently in the market for one Senior Level Project Manager contractor position in Deerfield with Excellent Communication, Vendor Management, Application Development and Software Package Implementations experience to start ASAP (6 months with potential extensions). 

Required Skills/Experience
  • A team builder who can effectively lead a team, build relationships, and ensure a detailed plan is being followed.
  • Ability to manage to a budget, includes forecasting and providing variance explanations.
  • Ability to quickly get up to speed on new business concepts and have enough technical experience to be able to understand and keep up with what the team is discussing during requirements and design sessions.
  • Ability to track cross dependency across multiple projects at program level.
  • Executive presence and effective communication 
    • Must be able to clearly articulate project updates to stakeholders and members of the senior leadership team 
    • Must possess a strong presence with confidence and polish
    • Excellent planning and coordination skills 
  • Waterfall and Agile Methodology 
    • Must have strong experience running waterfall, agile and hybrid projects, aligning processes, deliverables, and project metrics/dashboards/reports as needed
    • Experience with various dependent projects potentially being executed with different methodologies
  • Vendor Management
    • Experience with Vendor contracts management
    • Experience with and Vendor package implementations 
    • Strong experience in managing internal, external and hybrid teams
  • Technical
    • Prior experience managing technology roadmap projects
    • General knowledge and understanding of the technology field and technology projects
    • Understanding of core infrastructure  
Responsibilities
  • Manage projects that involve multiple vendors and complex integrations
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Develop and track full scale project plans including external integration points and dependencies
  • Establish and coordinate project teams
  • Direct and oversee the project team 
  • Define project tasks and manage project resource allocation
  • Manage project budgets
  • Identify project risks and issues and develop and execute mitigation plans
  • Manage project changes to achieve project goals
  • Monitor and report project status to all stakeholders
  • Provide guidance and direction to external vendors as applicable
  • Participate in quality audits 
  • Develop Requests for Information/ Proposals (RFI/RFP) for external services as applicable
  • Demonstrate leadership, and strong organizational, presentation and communication skills
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher required
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and Agile Certifications required
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience
  • Experience with vendor management and vendor package implementations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project 
  • Experience with Microsoft Project Server, ServiceNow, and Jira a plus
  • Strong technical background a plus
  • Certification or a degree in computer science, information systems or engineering would be a plus
  • Agile Certification preferred; SAFe Agile experience a plus
