Our client is seeking an Sr. Infrastructure Engineer specializing in Data Center Routing for a contract opportunity in Fort Worth, TX. 


Job Description

  • Responsible for both traditional and cloud-based infrastructure implementations based on designs from infrastructure architects.  
  • Engage with Business Unit customers and help build a network infrastructure that meets their requirements.
  • Contribute to development of new solutioning principles and concepts of network infrastructure
  • Document and maintain engineering standards and practices
  • Engineer and troubleshoot complex routing and network designs
  • Transform the network as applications migrate to cloud (Azure/IBM/OCI)
  • Manage multiple Datacenter and cloud network environments
  • Provides technical support to various departments and users with regards to LAN/WAN and cloud-based networks
  • Responsible for day-to-day network changes, which include configuration of switches/routers, firewall rules, SD-WAN deployments
  • You will be responsible for Life Cycle management of network infrastructure in Datacenter environments
  • Responsible for creating VNETs and routing in Azure cloud IAAS environment
  • Responsible for working with carriers like ATT to bring up new MPLS or internet circuits
  • Stays current with systems technology best practices and changing technologies, in order to maintain domain expertise and recommend enhancements or changes

 

Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a network infrastructure engineer or administrator
  • TCP/IP networks and full understanding of all layers of the OSI model
  • Hands-on experience and advance knowledge of network switching, and routing protocols like BGP/OSPF
  • Experience in SD-WAN technologies like Cisco Viptela, VM-ware Velo cloud
  • Experience working with platforms like Cisco NX-OS and Arista EOS
  • Knowledge and experience of Public Cloud Platforms like Azure, AWS and GCP
  • Experience of working with Palo-Alto firewall to configure and troubleshoot firewall rules, NAT rules and IPSEC VPN
  • Understanding of Web Proxy and PAC file configuration
  • Understanding of DDOS mitigation services and network design
  • Experience of working with network tools like Spectrum, NFA
  • Understanding of Load-balancing concepts including on-prem and cloud LBs
  • Understanding of cloud brokerage providers like Equinix, NetBond, and Megaport
  • Experience of TCP/IP Packet analysis to help identify issues (tcp-dump/wireshark)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledge
  • Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices
  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments
  • Proficiency in Agile project management methodology, specifically within infrastructure area
