Position: Senior Test Automation Engineer
Location: Irving, TX
Term: 6 months

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain test automation frameworks for both backend APIs and Angular/REACT frontend applications.
  • CI/CD implementation of test automation suites.
  • Adhere and excel in engineering processes including code reviews, test automation and documentation.
  • Effectively communicate with other engineer and tech leads and clearly articulate problem statements and solutions.
  • Self-driven, proactive (someone that can take an initiative and drive to get tasks and does not need daily directions) and should act with urgency.

Is this a good fit? (Requirements):
  • Hands-on development skills and usage of key technologies:
    • 8 to 10 years of Automation experience and proficient in using open-source test automation frameworks like: TestNG Maven Selenium TDD and Cucumber BDD.
    • 3+ years of experience with Automation framework development using JAVA, TESTNG, Rest Assured and BDD.
    • Ability to create the automation framework, framework components like customized extent reporting with screenshots of navigation and failure, CICD Jenkins implementation, Selenium Grid setup, Parallel execution, multi browser execution etc. from scratch and give POC Demos to the customer and get sign off from customer.
    • 4+ years of Automation experience and proficient working with CICD tools like Jenkins.
    • Create architecture diagram, setup the CICD, get multiple Jenkins jobs triggered weekly and get the reports emailed to the customer on weekly basis.
    • 4+ years of Automation experience and proficient working with git operations: Checking in, checking out, merging the code etc. and extensive experience working with code quality tools like Sonar Lint Plugin.
    • Experience in developing test plans and test cases for manual testing and uploading the test cases in Zephyr Scale.
    • Proficient in creating and executing the Automation framework scenarios with Web Apps, REACT UI, APIs, DBs and Event Based Microservices Platforms.
    • Proficient with monitoring, aggregating, and analyzing testing automation results and metrics.
    • Proficient in identifying the root cause of the test failures, retesting, and uploading to JIRA and reporting to the customer.
    • Proficient with performance testing like load, stress, and endurance test with LoadRunner & JMeter tools.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in Test Strategy, Test Design, Test Execution, Analysis and Reporting.
  • Experience with Incident and Problem Management supporting microservices environment and monitoring tools (i.e., New Relic, Grafana).
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum Framework.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate solution design and development skill set with past experiences with previous projects.
  • Well-rounded engineer as the resource will be required to support both our back-end services and front-end UI.
  • Ability to take the initiative and ownership towards solution development.
  • Able to operate independently, with minimal supervision/direction, to take business ask, clarify details necessary with PO and navigate the solutioning to completion (Design to Develop to Deploy).
  • Self-driven, proactive (someone that can take an initiative and drive to get tasks and does not need daily directions) and should act with urgency.

Even better if you have:
  • 4 years of Automation experience working with Web services API using frameworks like REST Assured etc. combined with Cucumber BDD.
  • Additional skills like Cloud Computing and AIML.
  • Familiarity with the concepts of test-driven development, software as a service and SRE.
  • Design thinking.
  • Retail or Fuels experience.
