Position: Senior Tax Accountant
Location: San Francisco, CA
Term: 2 months
 
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of the quarterly tax provision workpapers.
  • Preparation of the annual federal and state income tax return workpapers including apportionment data.
  • Preparation of monthly/quarterly sales tax returns.
  • Assist in responding to tax notices.
  • Assist in the gathering of document requests for various ongoing tax audits of the bank.
  • Assist in researching different filing requirements for various states.
  • Assist in other minor tax research projects.
  • Provide back-up for the investment accounting function (including daily posting of wire activities and processing trades/remittances via the investment software (TPG))
  • Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities.
  • Performs other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.
 
Is this a good fit? (Requirements):
  • Undergraduate accounting (or economics) degree.
  • 2 to 3 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to review and analyze data reports and manuals.
  • Computer proficient.
  • Able to communicate effectively via telephone and in person.
 
Even better if you have:
  • Corporate Tax or Audit Experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
