Project Managers will be expected to follow the in-house project lifecycle from inception to completion using standard project lifecycle practices and artifacts.
Key requirements:
*Experience managing data projects including Informatica ETL.
*Experience running large agile projects: knowledge of SAFE (scaled agile) or similar methodology
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and facilitate amongst project resources to ensure project execution
• Ensure project is delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Develop project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Develop detailed project plan to track progress
• Direct projects through the Project Management Lifecycle (PMLC) inclusive of Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Controlling, and Close Phases
• Manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs and follow a formal CR process
• Report and escalate issues / risks to management as needed
• Manage the day-to-day relationship with the client and stakeholders
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Track and manage project budget by developing a detailed project forecast and validating against actuals each month to provide accurate financial reporting to stakeholders.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in project management disciplines, with experience planning and executing projects and programs. Strong experience managing both IT and Business projects preferred.
• Experience managing 3-4+ projects simultaneously using Agile methodology.
• Experience managing Informatica ETL and Data projects.
• Experience creating project schedules.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum best practices.
• Strong project management skills with experience in organizing, prioritizing, planning, and executing projects from definition through implementation, involving internal personnel and third-party contractors
• Requires excellent communication skills, analytical ability, strong judgment skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with project team members, project sponsors, functional leads, and senior management in a matrixed environment
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic and passionate
• Flexibility to travel as required to regional locations
• Drive and demonstrated success working independently in a virtual environment
• Capable of strategic thinking and of moving strategic plans into action
• Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Bachelors degree from an accredited university
• Certification: PMP and Scrum certified or comprehensive experience
• Organization, follow-up and strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage various deliverables from different teams/individuals
• Solid understanding and ability to manage Assumptions, Risks, Action items, Issues, Change, Scope
• Analytic and decision-making skills - Ability to analyze and document a situation/scenario and propose options, recommendations and cost impact
• Project financial management
• Forecasting of resources and cost
• Validation of forecast against budget
• Tracking of project spend, and justification for change requests
• Project planning and monitoring
• Definition of key milestones
• Development of detailed plans
• Approach/forum to facilitate gathering of status information, and surfacing of progress limiting issues
• Communication/presentation skills
• Clear, concise status reporting
• Ability to craft leadership / executive level communications
