This international financial services industry leader has an immediate full-time opportunity in Cary, NC for a Senior Production Support Engineer. Will consider sponsorship and relocation as this role requires working onsite at least 2 days per week in a hybrid working model. Will be part of Counterparty Master Technology (CM Technology) which provides a single golden source of verified counterparty data for diligence platforms covering Anti Money Laundry (AML) / Know Your Client (KYC) / Sanctions and Political Exposed Person (PEP) screening, Tax, Credit, and Regulation. The key driver for CM Technology book of work is the Client Lifecycle Transformation, a multi-year program to redesign F2B client lifecycle. This encompasses data, process, and controls through the full client lifecycle from risk appetite, client data, onboarding, and monitoring to managed exit; whilst focusing on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of KYC to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and improve employee and client experience. You will be responsible for providing Production L3 support management coordination and assistance in all aspects of the application support within the production support environment. You will use ITIL practices to lead and manage production incidents and will also work with Development teams to coordinate and prioritize production defect fixes.
Responsibilities:
• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of software on pre-production and production environments
• Environment-specific system operations and maintenance (O&M) documentation for system (run books, etc)
• A strong technical and analytical understanding of packaging, installation, and configuration
• Platform technical L3 support including troubleshooting, contributing to root cause analysis, and problem resolution
• Ongoing review of application support processes as well as platform quality assurance testing, including functional and regression testing
• Managing incidents: Identifying and assessing risks, determining impact to platform, and mitigation plans to incident resolution
Requirements:
• Experience with Unix Technologies and Tools: Solaris, SUSE Linux, Bash, Perl, Python, and Systems Administration skills
• Experienced and proficient with XML and providing advanced Service Level 3 support
• Experience in the following technology areas is preferred: Java technology (JSP, servlets, EJB), SOAP & web services, XML, JSON, Scala and Oracle Database, and Structured Query Language (SQL) queries
• Experience managing production platform and trouble shooting incidents effectively under pressure
• Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrix structures in a fast-paced environment as well as excellent communication and presentation skills
