Responsibilities:
- Designing, Architecting & Maintaining state-of-the-art technical solutions on-premise, and in the cloud, to address requirements for scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
- Automating installations and implementation for provisioning and operating infrastructure in a reliable and repeatable method.
- Together with the infrastructure team, participating in a 24x7 on-call rotation and be an escalation contact for incidents.
- Providing periodic off-hours on-call support for production and development teams.
- Working closely with a team of architects, and engineers, and acting as the SME for Network, Datacenter, and related requests.
- Creating functional design specifications for on-prem & cloud reference architectures and assisting with other network and related project deliverables as needed.
- Conducting monthly security scans and installation of security patches as required.
- Conducting daily, weekly, monthly system maintenance as required
- Implementing operating system enhancements that will improve reliability.
- Interacting with software, systems, IT engineering, and/or applications development to restore service.
- Ensuring long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization.
- Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of network-related computer software.
- Monitoring the performance of the overall network and or collaboration systems.
- Maintaining current trends and a high level of technical skill in the field of expertise.
- Escalating more complex problems to appropriate personnel.
- Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5-10+ years experience with Cisco Firewalls & Switching
- Cisco Certifications - CCNP and/or CCIE required. CCIE Security Certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Azure NSGs, Routing Tables, Apps Gateways, and Traffic Managers
- Network Load balancers like F5/NetScaler
- Extensive experience with Disaster Recovery, including the development of and implementation of the architecture to support.
- Experience in troubleshooting Enterprise Network Applications.
- Experience with architecture and implementation of enterprise BCDR solutions, including physical and virtual environments as well as client systems.
- Experience in capacity planning and management.
- Experience supporting Windows and Linux operating systems
- Proficient in one or more programming languages
- Some working knowledge of Software-Defined Networking
- Best practice implementation of WAN, Disaster Recover, and multi-site architecture.
- LAN/WAN/WIRELESS routing and switching for storage, voice, and video
- Use of Cisco troubleshooting tools and support services
- General knowledge of virtualization and Cloud Computing
- Microsoft OS: 2012\2016\2019 Server and Windows 7/10
- Working knowledge of Nextgen Firewalls, Switching, and Load balancers
- Hardware sourcing, deployment, administration, and maintenance
- Working knowledge of MPLS, DIA, SDWAN technologies.
- Cisco VoIP experience is a plus.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to get security clearance
