JOB DESCRIPTION
This Network Datacenter Engineer will combine and utilize their strong expertise in automation, including Ansible and Python, Azure, SSOT (Single Source of Truth) with Netbox, and their proficiency in VXLAN over EVPN technologies to optimize network performance and deliver outstanding results in complex network environments. They are well-equipped to handle the challenges of network infrastructure and contribute to the success of any organization.
As the Senior Network Datacenter Engineer, you will demonstrate a high proficiency with automation, including experience with Ansible, Python, Azure, SSOT (Single Source of Truth), and Netbox. You should have a specialized skillset in the implementation of VXLAN over EVPN (Ethernet Virtual Private Network).
Will also demonstrate your deep understanding of network automation frameworks, network protocols, and advanced virtualization techniques. With your proficiency in optimizing network infrastructure and enhancing efficiency, you'll excel within complex network environments. You will be leading in the following technical areas:
- Network Automation: Proficient in various network automation tools and frameworks, including Ansible and Python scripting. Hands-on experience developing automation solutions for network provisioning, configuration management, and troubleshooting processes. Adept at leveraging Ansible for orchestration and automation tasks, creating playbooks and modules to streamline network operations.
- Azure: Expertise in utilizing automation tools specific to Azure environment, including knowledge of Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Azure Automation, Azure CLI, and Azure PowerShell. Hands-on experience in automating network deployments and managing Azure resources.
- VXLAN: Strong understanding of VXLAN (Virtual Extensible LAN) technology, including the implementation and configuration of VXLAN overlays and the management of VTEPs (VXLAN Tunnel Endpoints). Adept at integrating VXLAN with EVPN for improved network scalability and flexibility.
- EVPN: Extensive knowledge of EVPN (Ethernet Virtual Private Network), including configuring EVPN control plane protocols, managing MAC (Media Access Control) and IP (Internet Protocol) address learning, and troubleshooting EVPN-related issues.
- SSOT and Netbox: Experience with SSOT (Single Source of Truth) frameworks and tools, such as Netbox. Utilize Netbox for IP address management, network documentation, and asset tracking. Understanding the importance of maintaining accurate and up-to-date network information to ensure efficient network operations.
- Network Protocols: Must possess a solid understanding of network protocols such as BGP (Border Gateway Protocol), OSPF (Open Shortest Path First), MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching), and TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol). They can design and implement robust network architectures utilizing these protocols.
- Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Must have excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. Identify and resolve network issues efficiently, perform root cause analysis, utilize packet capture tools, and apply debugging techniques.
- Designing and implementing VXLAN over EVPN solutions for seamless network connectivity across multiple data centers.
- Developing network automation scripts using Python and Ansible, including specific automation tasks for Azure environments.
- Utilizing Ansible playbooks and modules to automate network provisioning, configuration management, and troubleshooting processes.
- Leveraging Azure automation tools such as ARM templates, Azure Automation, and Azure CLI for network deployments and resource management.
- Utilizing Netbox as an SSOT tool for IP address management, network documentation, and asset tracking.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and expansions.
- Conducting performance analysis and implementing optimization strategies to enhance network throughput and reduce latency.
