This position offers the ability to work remotely but must able to come onsite if needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designing state-of-the-art technical solutions on-premise, and in the cloud, to address requirements for scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
- Automating installations and implementation for provisioning and operating infrastructure in a reliable and repeatable method.
- Together with the infrastructure team, participating in a 24x7 on-call rotation and be an escalation contact for incidents.
- Providing periodic off-hours on-call support for production and development teams.
- Working closely with a team of architects, and engineers, and acting as the SME for Network, Datacenter, and related requests.
- Creating functional design specifications for on-prem & cloud reference architectures and assisting with other network and related project deliverables as needed.
- Conducting monthly security scans and installation of security patches as required.
- Conducting daily, weekly, and monthly system maintenance as required
- Implementing operating system enhancements that will improve reliability.
- Interacting with software, systems, IT engineering, and/or applications development to restore service.
- Ensuring long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization.
- Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software. Implementing operating system enhancements that will improve reliability.
- Monitoring the performance of the overall network and collaboration systems.
- Maintaining current trends and a high level of technical skill in the field of expertise.
- Escalating more complex problems to appropriate personnel.
- Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- 5-10+ years of network and datacenter experience.
- 3-5+ years of hands-on experience with Nutanix, Microsoft, VMware & Cisco on-prem equipment, and cloud-based service offerings.
- Strong working knowledge of Office365 and AzureAD.
- Requires certifications in Azure, AWS, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP and/or CCIE.
- Proficiency in SCCM/MECM and Powershell Automation.
- Experience with Azure NSGs, Routing Tables, Apps Gateways, and Traffic Managers.
- Working knowledge of Public & Private Cloud Virtualization.
- Working knowledge of Network Infrastructure devices.
- Network Load balancers like F5/NetScaler.
- Extensive experience with Disaster Recovery, including the development of and implementation of the architecture to support.
- Experience in troubleshooting Enterprise Applications.
- Experience with architecture and implementation of enterprise storage solutions.
- Experience with architecture and implementation of enterprise backup solutions, including physical and virtual environments as well as client systems.
- Experience in capacity planning and management.
- Experience supporting Windows operating systems.
- Proficient in one or more programming languages.
