Reporting to the Senior Director, Enterprise Infrastructure the Sr. Manager of Core Integration is responsible for leading the client's Engineering and Support teams. They are accountable for the delivery, integration and operational stability of core technology systems supporting revenue generating applications and services within the company’s on-premises and cloud operating environments. This senior position plays a key role in leading teams that provide integration and development of systems and applications within the Middleware and Application Hosting space driving continual innovation within the organization by setting technical roadmap and vision, implementing new technology, procedures, and metrics to drive improvement of performance and cost optimization for the client's products.

This leader supports the IT organizational agenda, champions process improvements, and builds and expands relationships with key stakeholders. The Sr. Manager, Core Technology achieves results by developing staff, building staff competencies, efficiently managing resources and financials, and seeking ways to mature IT Services, its impact and value.

You will be:
  • Manages a global 24X7 technical support and engineering staff for Core Technologies. Hires, evaluates, and counsels staff
  • Provides guidance, training, and motivation to develop staff
  • Sets performance standards, reviews performance, provides feedback, and recommends salary actions in accordance with HR policies and procedures
  • Collaborates with business partners, technical consultants, IT suppliers and vendors, and business areas to accomplish business objectives
  • Works with Senior IT and Business Management to provide strategic direction and vision for the Core Technology organization
  • Develops and implements multi-year cloud and infrastructure operational plans, roadmaps, and vision to achieve company objectives to facilitate the elimination of legacy datacenters and move applications and services to cloud platforms
  • Understands and drives assurance with Service Level Agreements and metrics for corporate environments
  • Provides and maintain dashboard metrics on environment health and productivity for both IT and Business consumption
  • Participates in the development of the department budget
  • Reviews monthly budget reports, ensures that forecasts and accruals are accurate and partners with the finance team to proactively resolve budget discrepancies
  • Manages the planning and implementation of enterprise-wide Core Technology projects, including the project schedule, resources, reports, and communication of project status
  • Manages the development of technical standards, policies and procedures, system monitoring and automation activities, troubleshooting, and installation and/or migration of software, tools, and/or hardware
  • Develops and implements changes to department policies and procedures to meet changing business needs. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Leads quality initiatives to improve the delivery of service levels.
  • Works with Principal and senior management in the planning, development, and execution of short- and long-range goals.
To be qualified for this position:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; 5+ years related leadership experience in IT Infrastructure & application management; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years managing global technical engineering and support teams with resources located within and outside of the United States
  • 3+ Years managing technical engineering teams architecting and supporting cloud-based technologies, AWS preferred.
  • Experience leading and managing IT projects and rolling out IT systems and services across various technology platforms
  • Experience with ITIL and IT Service Management
  • Experience managing multiple teams supporting on-premises and cloud-based technologies for various Application, Middleware, and Infrastructure services
  • Experience with Product, Infrastructure Services and Application migration to the cloud, AWS preferred
  • Experience transforming traditional Infrastructure teams to utilize DevOps and Infrastructure as code concepts and tooling
  • Excellent working knowledge of cloud-based systems, security protocols, and network and systems administration
  • Experience working closely with product teams to support on time and successful product delivery
  • Proven ability in managing multiple priorities, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to form solid cross-functional relationships and influence others to drive to a common goal
  • Demonstrated strategic and impactful leadership with global support teams in highly collaborative environments
  • Ability to be forward thinking and understand future needs of the company in a high growth environment
  • Exceptional planning, organizational, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Proven expertise in the management of KPIs and Service Level Agreements in the delivery of Core Technology
  • Demonstrated ability in analyzing statistics or other data to determine overall health of the core technology systems and staff
  • Demonstrated customer service, interpersonal and leadership skills in communication, both written and verbal at all levels of an organization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an established record as an effective collaborator, experience working with executive leaders and robust ability to produce detailed reports on key metrics and KPI

  • Experience in utilizing ServiceDesk technologies for work organization, incident management, issue analysis and tracking, preferably ServiceNOW
  • Planning, organizing, and managing work in an Agile Scrum work model utilizing Sprint and Kanban processes
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing projects and/or departments maintaining a healthy P&L record
