Position: Project Manager
Location: CHARLOTTE, North Carolina
Term: 12 months

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Meeting with Sr Leaders to provide status updates and alignment of overall scope.
  • Ensure project plans are rolled up into an overall program plan.
  • Ensure consistent delivery across the activities outlined for the project managers/coordinators.
  • Manage material consolidation and follow ups for governance forums.
  • Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence success of programs, project performance and prioritization for planning, communications, and engagements across change management.
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring full understanding of project impacts and comprehensive engagement.
  • Deliver solutions that are long-term, large scale and require planning and progression, financial management, status reporting, effective communication and ongoing risk assessment.
  • Provide vision, direction and expertise to more experienced leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are companywide to support operations using organizational, strategical, institutional knowledge and navigation to anticipate change impacts.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, executive leadership, project leads, project team, portfolio sponsors and portfolio leaders to promote success of programs and project performance or prioritization.

  • Must be able to work effectively through fast paced and stressful environments under tight deadlines and Executive level scrutiny.
  • Must have strong skills with executive level communication in addition to the standard project management communication ability.
  • Ability to work directly with senior leaders to solve business problems from strategy to delivery.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity, evaluate available data and form a structured work product that meets program and business partner needs/requirements.
  • Resources must have experience remediating programs/projects, not just managing initiatives.
  • Proven presentation skills and ability to quickly synthesize data.
  • Must be comfortable making decisions without full view of all impacts and the experience to pivot when additional data becomes available.
  • Demonstrated success at short term stakeholder relationship building and management.
  • Must be able to establish governance routines while concurrently executing and managing day-to-day- activities.
  • Experience leading a variety of large, high profile and complex programs including people/process, mergers and acquisitions, technology; Executive level reporting experience.
  • Diverse background in course correcting large programs.
  • 7-10+ years’ experience in Program/Project management is a must have for this position.
  • Having previous background and working knowledge of the Financial Services industry is a large plus.
  • Certifications that are nice to have but are not required include; PMP, Scrum Master Certified, Six Sigma (Greenbelt, Blackbelt).
  • 7+ years of Project Management and Methodologies, Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.


Nice to haves:

  • PMP/6 sigma cert/agile or scrum cert
