This international financial services industry leader has immediate full-time needs in Cary, NC for Java Developers.  Will consider Junior, Mid-Level, and Senior Level candidates, ranging from the Associate level up to Assistant Vice President Level.  Requires working onsite at least 2 days per week in a hybrid working model.  The server-side apps require developers with strong core Java, Spring, and Microservices experience.  The full stack apps require developers with React or Angular with UX and Micro frontends a plus.  Kotlin and Scala roles are also available for those taking Java Virtual Machine (JVM) experience to the next level. Responsibilities:

  • Leverage the right design patterns, algorithms, and Java frameworks to develop scalable, robust applications.

  • Work within an agile development lifecycle focusing on business outcomes.

  • Build automation to support a continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipeline to production.

  • Contribute to the wider engineering community sharing designs, ideas, and experience of Java frameworks.

Requirements:

  • 2-10+ years of Java development experience.

  • Strong, demonstrable development experience in Java and/or other Java Virtual Machine (JVM) languages.

  • Spring (especially Spring Boot) and REST experience preferable. Micro-service or micro front end experience preferable.

  • React/Angular or another JavaScript framework preferable. 

  • TDD and BDD experience preferable.

  • Experience with CI/CD frameworks (such as Jenkins) and build tools (gradle, maven) preferable.

  • Containerized (Docker, Kubernetes) or cloud experience (GCP) preferable. Kotlin, Scala experience optional.
