This leading North American transportation and logistics company has an immediate full-time opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst. This position requires working onsite in the Addison, TX office Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for a broad range of activities which supports executive management. This position will analyze the profitability, efficiency, and effectiveness of the operational results and make recommendations to senior management; in addition, this role will be heavily involved in forecasting and developing the long-range plan, supporting executive management with strategic planning and capital allocation decisions. This is a niche corporate finance role that provides the platform to be the next step in the candidate’s development as a finance leader.
This position requires:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related fields
• Advanced degree
• Extensive experience with KPIs.
• 8+ years of experience in financial analysis/forecasting in PE, investment banking, consulting or in a large corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and 3-statement models (Income statement, Balance sheet and Cashflows).
• Ability to work with and communicate with all organization levels, including senior management; ability to articulate, present and explain information in a clear and concise manner.
• Advanced problem-solving skills and independent thinker; eager to tackle complex and ambiguous problems with minimal supervision.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Multi-tasker with the ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong intellectual curiosity and proactive willingness to learn new skills and industry to advance career development.
• Experience in the transportation industry preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Act as a strategic FP&A partner to business segments by providing proactive financial analysis to support business operations, thought leadership, and continual process improvement.
• Lead the development of the company’s Long-Range Plan used as the basis to plan and execute on key strategic initiatives of the company.
• Create reports and presentations for Senior Management and the Board of Directors that provides line of sight into financial performance.
• Carry out high-impact ad-hoc projects for Senior Management of varying nature and complexity.
• Partner with business segment leaders to drive business improvement initiatives through the development and tracking of business improvement scorecards/trackers.
• Proactively seek opportunities to broaden and deepen skill set, including a deep understanding of industry.
• Serve as a support resource and guide for best analytical practices to other analysts.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
