As a Senior Data Governance Analyst, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a culture of Data Governance by partnering with data owners and stewards to promote Data Governance best practices.   Your role will help maintain the integrity, efficiency, and availability of our data through contributing to a Data Governance strategy, documentation, overseeing the metric definition processes, and creating/maintaining partnerships with key stakeholders across the organization.   Your main responsibilities would include:

  • To be a trusted advisor to data stakeholders and apply your expert knowledge to guide the organization on Data Governance best practices.
  • Partner with data stakeholders to develop governance principles, policies, and stewardship within the business.
  • Execute the implementation of approved data definitions, policies, standards, processes, data access and data quality metrics.
  • Understands and document business use cases within a functional area and the data elements required to support each use case. Understands the impact data has within a functional area of the business.
  • Identifies metrics that link investments in data quality improvement to positive business outcomes.
  • Assist in the development of data quality reports and dashboards.
  • Monitor data quality metrics to understand the health of data and impact to business processes.
  • Perform data profiling across data domain sources to ensure data standard adherence and identify opportunities for remediation.
  • Facilitate requests to change configurations, use, or design of data elements for specific area of influence.
  • Develop scope, resources, and manage data quality initiatives within a data domain.
  • Participates in and reviews all system enhancements and new technologies for data needs, use, and redundancies.
To be considered well qualified for this opportunity, you should have the following background and experience:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • 3+ year of data analytics experience using relational databases
  • 3+ years of experience working in data management, data quality, or data governance
  • 5+ year of data analytics experience using relational databases
  • 5+ years of experience working in data management, data quality, or data governance
  • 3+ years of experience applying Agile concepts and methodologies for continuous improvement
  • 3+ years of experience in Master Data Management applications such as Precisely EnterWorks, Oracle Data Hub or similar system
  • 3+ years of experience working with Product, Customer or Vendor master data
  • 3+ years of experience using SQL
  • 3+ years of experience with MS SQL server
  • 3+ years of experience using reporting tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau or ThoughtSpot
  • Prior experience in the manufacturing or distribution industry
