Senior Business Systems Analyst

This North American financial services industry leader has an immediate 12+ month contract opportunity for a Senior Business Systems Analyst.  This position requires working in the Las Colinas or Arlington, TX office 2 days/week starting in July.  Will be responsible for providing analysis and second-tier support for a brand new digital loan origination system. The position involves the analysis, design and estimation of small to medium-scale projects, product support, and coordination with team members on project development. Will require coordination with other departments, business partners, and outside vendors. 

Responsibilities:

  • Understanding customer needs to provide innovative solutions and recommend system, product and process enhancements.

  • Providing documentation of business rules, functional specifications and process interpretation.

  • Implementing business software and providing systems administration set-up and configuration.

  • Implementing business rules and functional enhancements via script.

  • Testing business logic changes and functional enhancements.

  • Providing applications first-tier customer support for systems issue resolution.

  • Monitoring scheduled application interface and providing issue resolution and after-hours support.

  • Providing assistance in the creation of production, ad-hoc reporting and interface solutions to query needs of the business.

  • Communicating with management, business partners, software vendors, and suppliers on business systems, project status and project.

  • Coordinating with program development teams on software interfaces used by supported business applications.

  • Maintaining technical and functional awareness and competence.

  • Ensuring familiarity and compliance with Company policies and procedures.

  • Supporting BSA Manager with departmental objectives.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of BSA experience with the ability to learn new technologies and wear multiple hats.

  • Extensive experience with data integration tools - API JSON, Postman, Swagger (Modern integration solutions).

  • Data mapping experience (ERwin, Visio)

  • Process oriented with strong documentation skills.

  • Proficiency with the MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint

  • Data Visualization Experience - Dataflow 

  • Database experience (ie. Cosmos)

  • Testing Tool Experience 

  • Knowledge/experience with SQL, PL/SQL, Unix shell scripting

Preferred:

  • Advanced knowledge of best practices in information technology governance and regulatory landscape for financial institutions

  • Advanced knowledge of loan origination systems and business operations

  • Advanced knowledge of the Corporate Business solution environment

  • Advanced knowledge in gathering and documenting Epics, Features and Stories in an Agile environment

  • Advanced knowledge of Agile methodologies

  • Advanced knowledge of scripting languages (Ex: JavaScript, Python etc )

  • Knowledge of security methodologies, policies, standards and best practices

  • Ability to analyze data using SQL and Excel for reporting and data mining purposes

  • Ability to meet expected delivery dates and the tasks necessary to achieve objectives

  • Excellent computer skills and conversance in information technology issues

  • Deadline oriented

  • Strong ability to analyze data using Excel for reporting and data mining purposes

  • Strong people skills including the ability to interact with employees at all levels

  • Excellent writing and speaking skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work or military experience required

  • Experience in auto finance industry and loan origination systems preferred

  • Experience in Agile development methodologies preferred

  • Experience with JavaScript preferred
