Senior Accountant

Long term contract in Plano, TX for a Senior Accountant who will prepare financial reporting of IFRS and JGAAP financial packages. This will initially be onsite for the first couple of weeks but will later be required onsite once or twice in a month for meetings.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the preparation and compilation of Japan GAAP and IFRS reporting packages.
  • Preparation of necessary documentation to remain in accordance with SOX.
  • Partner with other departments to ensure all tasks and deliverables are completed timely to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Understand the fundamentals of US GAAP reporting.
  • Analyze and compare financial results for reasonableness while maintaining an attitude of professional skepticism.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting.
  • 3 to 5 years of public accounting/accounting industry experience.
  • Experience in private industry in accounting and public accounting.
  • Must have excellent financial reporting experience.
  • Must have strong communication skills (written and verbal both).
  • Must have strong MS Excel experience.
  • Prefer CPA/MBA.
  • Prefer Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) experience.
  • Prefer both Big 4 or top-level public accounting experience and industry experience.
  • Prefer demonstrated ability to streamline processes.
