Our established client is looking for a Security Analyst/ Systems Engineer to join their team for a long term contract opportunity. You will be Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager, IT Systems Engineer (IT SE) is a member of the IT Infrastructure Team that identifies, plans, designs, delivers, operates, and controls Information Technology services. 

Your Role:

  • Implementing servers, storage, and network infrastructure to the clients' IT best practices
  • Troubleshooting some of the most difficult issues that can occur in their clients most complex networks
  • You must be able to understand in detail how everything interconnects, and how changes, no matter how small, can affect other aspects of the system infrastructure
  • You must be very technical in nature as this position requires extensive knowledge of networking concepts, Exchange, Microsoft server software, virtualization, security, and SAN technologies.
Is it a fit? (Requirements):
  • 3-5 years Demonstrated experience supporting, implementing, and migrating to Office 365, Advanced Networking Concepts (ex. VLANS, Routing, NAT, VPN), Active Directory & Group Policy, Internet Information Server (IIS) web hosting admin, System Center, SQL Server, Dell SAN, Equalogic, Power Vault versions, a blend of Windows Servers, Windows workstations, LAN, Microsoft Exchange 2010 Server, SharePoint, SSO or 2 Factor Authentication, High availability and redundant architecture, Cisco & Celestix firewall, switch and WAP’s, backup and recovery
  • VMWare ESXi 5-6, & Hyper V experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience providing in-person help desk, and Tier 3 & 4 support during and after a migration or implementation effort, within an O&M environment
  • Provide technical documentation and assistance/engineering for project based assignments
  • Documents and  maintains IT policies and procedures related to function and audits.
  • Professionalism displayed at all times.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering, or Computer related field – i.e. Computer Science.
  • 3-5 years’ experience interacting with customers and appropriate representatives to analyze, validate, specify, verify, document and manage the requirements
  • 3-5 years’ experience with Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013, and Database technologies (e.g., SQL)
  • Expert in Network documentation and diagramming (Visio is required)
  • Confidently knowledgeable about Microsoft products, particularly Office 365, associated benefits as well as pitfalls, and integration methods
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Microsoft MCSE and/or MCSA certification
  • Security+ Certification preferred
  • Demonstrated experience working in ITIL Service Management organization is a plus
  • Ability to write scripts in some administrative language (Perl, PowerShell, or VBScript).
  • Extensive knowledge of software licensing, product and vendor evaluation, technical troubleshooting, and software processing improvement
  • Working knowledge of IT audit and control, governance, asset management, change control, and technical
      writing/documentation
  • Security+ Certification or Experience preferred
  • Six Sigma
  • Demonstrated experience working in ITIL Service Management organization is a plus
  • Security+ Certification or Experience preferred
