Position: SAS SQL Teradata Consultant
Location: Charlotte, NC
Term: 9 months
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Advise experienced leadership to develop or influence statistical modeling, analytical strategies, and advanced data visualization for complex business and technical needs.
- Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring analytical application of industry techniques, advance data from multiple sources, and mathematics behind data analysis across the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale, and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical, and coordination of highly complex activities.
- Design and lead complex projects, analyses, and application of techniques across the enterprise.
- Provide vision, direction, and expertise to more experienced leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that align to the enterprise.
- Engage with peers, managers risk, compliance, managers across the enterprise, and serve as an expert advisor to leadership team.
- Developing data files based on pre-defined end user requirements.
- Conditioning Information.
- Creating data sets bass off values in system of record.
- Determine if data is accurate and make recommendations to partners to make modifications if inaccurate.
- Write standard code in SAS EG to be used by other analytics consultants.
- Support procedure writing and train other analytics consultants to use previously written code.
Is this a good fit? (Requirements):
- *SAS EG* - highly preferred - (Base SAS is also acceptable) - Creating Code/ Running Code
- SQL - ability to optimize queries in SQL/ SAS
- Experience working with Teradata - (large data sets from multiple sources)
- Microsoft Excel - ability to export/ import different file types within SAS environment
- Creating output files - (TXT. & CSV)
- Documentum or Jira
- Ability to automate code in SAS
- 4+ years of SAS coding experience
- 7+ years of Analytics and Reporting, Financial Modeling, Statistics, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- Ability to present Data and work with quality review teams
- Communication Skills
- Attention to details
- Ability to work on deadlines
- Financial background is very helpful for understanding data – highly preferred
