Provide inside-sales support to field sales team and customers requesting technical commercial quotations for products and services. Position responsibilities include: answer incoming sales team and customer phone calls, inquiries, emails; probe for technical needs/requirements and recommend appropriate solutions; route qualified opportunities to the appropriate Account Manager and/or technical support staff for further development and closure; prepare product quotations and respond to formal RFQs; partner with the Account Managers to support their needs in the customer relationship cycle.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Answer incoming sales team and customer phone calls, inquiries, emails swiftly and professionally
- Probe for technical needs/requirements and recommend appropriate solutions
- Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate Account Manager and/or technical support staff for further development and closure
- Prepare product quotations and respond to formal RFQs
- Utilize Excel to prepare basic financial evaluations/analysis on discounts & margins for quote pricing
- Manage internal and external customer relationships and maintain strong communication and response, handling issues appropriately and in a timely manner
- Partner with the Account Managers to support their needs in the customer relationship cycle
- Work with other departments to meet objectives: Sales, Engineering, Physics, Service, Operations, Finance, Logistics
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Associates Degree in technical or science background
- Ability to absorb and retain technical product knowledge
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, follow-up, and manage time to meet deadlines
- Sense of urgency, ownership and commitment to meeting internal & external customer needs
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Good organizational and planning skills, attention to detail
- Solid skills in Microsoft programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Experience working with SalesForce or similar CRM tool
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP/MRP systems
AMOUNT OF EXPEREINCE REQUIRED:
1-2 years of customer service/sales related work
