Responsibilities:

Support planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program or portfolio of programs.

Identify stakeholders and key organizations and build and manage relationships.

Direct the creation of multiple programs of work and manage their alignment to business goals.

Lead the facilitation, coordination, and arbitration of cross-functional macro level topics within/across programs and with Senior Management.

Lead the identification of and drives resolution of issues, including those outside established programs of work.
-
Work with stakeholders to ensure program scope definition meets business objectives.
-
Work with Program Sponsor to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives.

Drive adherence to program processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program delivery and leverages across the program.

Assist program team in negotiating for resources owned by other departments in order ensure the program can be completed.

Direct the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.

Direct the identification of risks which impact program delivery and ensures mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary.

Manage multiple teams or a functional area (depending on size of business).

Apply comprehensive understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area.

Ensure creation and signoff of program plan and charter, benefits management plan, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central program issue log.

Ensure program plans meet business needs as described in the program initiation documents.

Ensure all stakeholders are identified and included in scope definition activities, understands the program schedule and key milestones and receives schedule status regularly.

Ensure funding has been approved for the program.

Ensure all areas of the program are appropriately staffed.
-
Ensure program commitment from those assigning resources.

Escalate program risks to the Program Director, or Program Sponsor, when appropriate.

Ensure vendor performance is monitored and actions taken if performance warrants.

Maintain appropriate staffing requirements to meet operational needs.
-
Exercise shared responsibility for budget, policy formulation and planning.

Evaluate subordinates' performance (if applicable) and makes recommendations for pay increases, promotions, terminations, and other personnel actions.

Bachelor’s/University degree is required. Prefer Masters degree.
-
4-8 years of heavy project management and execution experience.
-
Experience in first or second line Risk projects.
-
Experience with risk and controls and commercial lending/loans.
-
Strongly prefer experience with both business analysis and project/program management.
- Must have bank consulting/regulatory or audit background.
- Prefer experience with Jira.
- Project management certification is preferred.
