Position: Resident Engineer - NSP, IP/MPLS Subject Matter Expert
Pay rate: $60/hr.
Location: Remote
Term: 6 Months Contract
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Support customers' NOC operations and Maintenance Engineering Staff Network to develop Operations Readiness.

Establish documented processes and procedures to improve NOC visibility to the EMSs and associated Network Elements.

Enhance the Client Outage Management and Notification processes.

Define IP MPLS provisioning standards and develop a consistent process guideline to further reduce fault restoration timelines.

Provide continued On-The-Job (OJK) Knowledge transfer to Client NOC personnel including:

Monitoring and surveillance activities
-
Command Line Interface for Nokia routers and switches
-
NSP EMS Familiarization
-
New network element configuration/Network routing setup
-
IP Element configuration
-
Event detection and isolation/Fault resolution
-
Routine diagnostics and corrective action management
-
Evaluate customer skillsets and develop training plan
Is it a good fit? (Requirements):

Service Routing subject matter expert on Nokia NSP, knowledgeable on NOKIA 77xx Service Routing devices (Hardware/Software/Diagnostics)

Ability to travel at least 50% of the time as needed to Amarillo, TX, Eau Claire, WI, Richmond, VA and Denver, CO (Business travel covered by company)
