Regulatory Reporting Controller

Grow your career as a Regulatory Reporting Controller with an innovative global bank in New York, NY. Long-term contract with excellent growth potential. Will be required to be onsite 2-3 days per week.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in conducting reviews of CFTC/SEC/CAD reporting processes to assess conformance with regulatory requirements.
  • Review reporting controls in place to assess design and operating effectiveness of the control framework in ensuring completeness and accuracy of reporting.
  • Perform sample-based transaction testing to assess accuracy of data used in reporting processes.
  • Ensure procedures and controls adhere to the company’s Global Risk & Control as well as Global Regulatory Reporting policies.
  • Conduct data analysis on large data sets to identify root causes of complex issues.
  • Prepare written reports which summarize testing procedures conducted and resulting conclusions.
  • Preview remediation actions to assess closure of identified risks.
  • Collaborate with first and second line of defenses – business risk and controls, legal, compliance, middle office and technology.
 
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of previous financial services experience, within: regulatory reporting/capital markets middle office/OTC derivative products.
  • Knowledge of at least of the following regulatory reporting regimes: CFTC, CAD, or/and SEC Reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in the successful regulatory reporting implementations.
  • Prefer experience within capital markets operations.
  • Prefer exposure to SQL/VBA (advanced Excel).
  • Experienced in consulting with project stakeholders, including the skills to facilitate compromises and resolve conflicting requirements.
  • Working knowledge of industry practices and standards, and experience in large scale implementations.
  • Experience in working across technology and business projects and managing inter-dependencies between the two.
