Our downtown Chicago client has an exciting opportunity to bring on a Project Manager on a contract to hire basis. This is with an excellent team based out of Tampa, FL. Candidates can sit in Chicago, Dallas, and Tampa. Expectation is for employees to work 2-3 days on site in a hybrid model:

The Project Manager / Senior Project Manager will manage the development and execution of various financial services projects and programs, including the entire lifecycle, road-mapping, scope management, scheduling, team coordination, risk management, project quality and, most importantly, delivery satisfaction. The Senior Project Manager will ensure projects are completed efficiently and on-time while meeting the expectations of our primary stakeholders and must demonstrate experience leading project managers and managing medium to large technology and mortgage industry projects.

What you will do for Fay:

  • Own the business relationship and effectively communicate project expectations to team, project members, and management in a timely and clear manner
  • Define, document, and manage project scope, goals and deliverables for lifecycle of project
  • Manage multiple projects using ServiceNow project management software
  • Coordinate delivery of the project with the various business and support organizations
  • Liaison between application development and infrastructure deployment teams
  • Works closely with the end users, business, technology teams and others to understand and prioritize business goals and information needs related to the project
  • Actively manage quality of deliverables, dependencies, and outcomes to ensure that the project objectives are achieved on time/on budget
  • Regularly communicate with the business organizations to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
  • Set and manage business expectations
  • Create, communicate, develop and manage ROI investment models,, budget/ cost for projects and programs and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives
  • Build a knowledge base of each business / organization, and objectives
  • Ensure project documents are complete, detailed, current, and stored appropriately
  • Contribute to team success by continually striving for improvements in process, documentation, and knowledge transfer
  • Develop full-scale project plans, schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Monitor and manage expectations, conduct milestone reviews, manage process performance, conduct continuous improvement and causal analysis activities
  • Conduct project close-outs and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and make sound business decisions
  • Ability to own and drive issues to resolution, sense of urgency with strong follow-up skills
  • Manage schedule, dependencies, and resource utilization across work plans

What you will bring to Fay:

  • High School or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred or 4-7 years functional experience
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience
  • 5+ years of experience with managing and executing medium to large-scale projects for technology and software engagements
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in program management/project lifecycle/PMO in the financial services industry
  • Experience with cross functional project delivery
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, while contributing to the development of policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Advanced knowledge of project management methodology(Waterfall, SDLC, Agile, Scrum etc.) and skills (driver, anticipator, proactive)
  • Must be able to handle execution responsibilities for several projects at one time, each with competing/conflicting priorities
  • Advanced knowledge of computer systems and processes and PC desktop applications such as MS Project, Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, ServiceNow etc
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with the business
  • Must be able to execute all tasks with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to think strategically and work independently
  • Must have advanced problem solving, negotiating, analytical and conflict management skills
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills within all levels of an organization
  • Proven track record in delivering large scale change at an enterprise-level


Experience with ServiceNow’s Project and Program Management (PPM) module is a plus, but not required.
