Position: OSS/ARC Lead Engineer
Location: Dallas Texas, 75246
Pay rate: $73/hr.
Term: 8 Months Contract

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Be accountable for management of end-to-end (e2e) technical management activities defined in customer contract in terms of quality, risk and time from delivery approach preparation through deployment, customer acceptance and care phase.
  • Act as primary technical interface and first technical escalation point within the assigned customer projects.
  • Lead and be responsible for all technical deliverables for the customer.
  • Ensure the correctness and completeness of the solution from e2e requirements of the overall solution delivery feasibility, the customer architecture to prevent delays and risks during delivery. For this, the TM will engage with the sales team in the solutioning phase before handover to delivery.
  • e2e Technical Manager coordinating closely with other BGs (for topics such as, but not limited to compatibility and interoperability, technical/project interdependence, feature availability interdependence etc.) to prevent any risks on the MN deliverables and/or customer satisfaction
  • Maintain and validate the High-Level Design, Low Level Detailed Design for the customer network e2e architecture and approves the related documentation. This would be maintained throughout the complete life cycle of the customer relationship reflecting the topology and architectural changes with the network evolution.
  • Manage a technical team of SMEs across design, testing and acceptance and ensure relevant standards are adhered to.
  • Be the senior escalation point for all technical issues for both customer and internal
  • Overall be accountable for the technical team governance, capability, allocation, and performance
  • Ensure resources are skilled adequately and identify gaps and escalate if required.
  • Ensure Quality of technical deliverables to the customer
  • Manage stakeholder communications, issues, and risks (internally and externally)
  • Strong and effective collaboration across local, regional, and global stakeholders to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables
  • Ensure health and safety standards are upheld and any incident no matter how minor is reported per Nokia process
  • Perform a Technical Risk Analysis and plans/implements risk mitigation actions.
  • Ensure project schedule is realistic and all technical constraints and risks are managed and mitigated
  • Own the configuration management and fault management in the network.
  • Follow all Client’s Information Security policies and guidelines including ISMS (ISO27001 program)

Is it a good fit? (Requirements):
  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Engineering/Science with over 5 years work experience in Telecoms industry
  • OSS experience including backup and restore technologies
  • Knowledge and experience in Storage Area Network
  • Proven ability to lead large and complex software upgrades projects and rollouts.
  • Customer facing experience
  • Experience with Networking implementations such as switches, routers, and similar
  • Excellent communication written and verbal skills
  • Manage senior and multicultural Technical Team
