On Site Services Technician - Part-time

This international industry leader has an immediate long-term contract opportunity in Vancouver, WA for a Part-time On Site Services Technician.  Will be working 20 hours per week with flexible hours (Monday-Friday 8am-12pm is preferred).

Responsibilities include:

  • Locally assist centralized Global Incident Management teams with incidents and providing physical support to the onsite employees.

  • Fulfill standardized service requests - Act on services requested in the IT Self-Service tool (HEAT) in order to locally provide globally defined standard IT Products.

  • Control Lifecycle Management - Ensure that the equipment being used is according to the global standard and within the lifecycle as per defined by the Service Delivery teams and Product teams.

  • Perform administrative tasks around IT - Maintain the inventory of assets within responsibility.  Procure the IT equipment within IT scope needed at the site.

  • Participate in local and global projects when approved by line manager.

  • Support global tasks, activities and pilots as needed.

  • Monitor and perform proactive support - Monitor windows computers with provided tools and aim to take proactive actions to stabilize and improve performance of individual computers.

This position requires:

  • 2+ years of related onsite support experience.  

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong troubleshooting and multitasking skills.

  • Basic knowledge on working in a Service Management Tool.

  • Basic knowledge of standard IT platforms.

  • ITIL v3.0 Foundation certification is a plus.

  • Valid Drivers License

  • Ability to escalate issues when needed.

  • Self-motivated and business-focused.

  • Able to work under pressure
