Our client is an industry leader in wide ranging network and Telecommunication solutions, services and consulting. They are looking for a Sr. Network Engineer for the expansion of a huge initiative migrating and redesigning / modernizing several large data center networks for a long-standing client of theirs.  This role will be a pivotal and key position with a lot of visibility – giving it a lot of opportunity for growth and longevity, as well as involvement in design and planning new route/switch networks for Cisco switches and routers.

This role will be responsible for design, planning, and configuration for Nexus switches especially, including the creation of MOPs and other design and planning documentation, in addition to hands-on configuration work.

The network touches many systems with sensitive or confidential data, so US Citizenship is required.

Duration: 12 months with annual extensions, projected 24-36 month duration

Location: Dallas, TX with onsite work required.

What the successful candidate will bring to the role:

  • Hands-on configuration of Cisco Nexus Switches, N7K and above.
  • Demonstrated experience with network design, including creation of MOPs and other related documentation
  • Experience with VLAN port configuration for Nexus switches
