Do you have solid routing, switching and firewall skills?  If so and you consider yourself to be a senior network engineer we have a great opportunity for your skill set in Birmingham where you can work on a migration from Cisco to Fortinet. 


Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Implement, maintain, and troubleshoot communications systems for 600 + locations.
Assist and provide backup for IT Security Specialist with firewall administration.
Troubleshoot network related problems.
Evaluate communications related hardware and software.
Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and business recovery procedures.
Review, audit, and ensure the accuracy of firewall policies.

Skills needed:
·   Broad experience in troubleshooting issues with the following is a must:
o    In-depth knowledge and strong operating experience with Routing & Switching equipment.
o    Experience working with and/or knowledge of converged network solutions that deliver data, real-time video and voice over the same IP network
o    Experience working with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP and RDP
o    Experience working with routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF; working with network topologies and media such as Ethernet, WAN, and MPLS
· Candidate should have an advanced knowledge in implementing and troubleshooting the following:
o    Cisco Router and Switch equipment, 
o    Cisco Wireless Networking equipment, 
·         Ability to work with little direction
·         Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple issues simultaneously
·         Ability to work well within a team
·         Strong implementation skills
      

This contract position comes with a full suite of benefits including training.  The work environment is cubicles, with business casual dress and free parking.
