Grow your career as a Project Manager with an innovative global bank working in New York, NY. 6+ month contract opportunity (with strong chance for extension). Will be required to work onsite 2-3 days per week. Will focus on enabling the company’s Market Risk organization meet strategic objectives across different jurisdictions and regions. Will support Market Risk in project managing/program managing regulatory obligations and internal initiatives. Key aspect is to drive the projects for Market Risk Trading by scoping, managing, and delivering projects by engaging with relevant Stakeholders across Risk, Finance, Front-office, etc. Will also participate in a Functional PMO role providing Book of Work reporting and oversight to the functional project managers.
Responsibilities:

Work with relevant stakeholders, including local management on requirements.

Work with the Control and Internal Audit stakeholders to ensure credible challenges are addressed during the project lifecycle.

Work on all aspects of Project Management Life Cycle with input from relevant stakeholders.

Ensure all projects follow company’s standards, governance and controls for Project Management.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience as a Project Manager in a large global Bank, Consultancy or Advisory firm.
- Must have experience in Investment Banking including Market Risk and Credit.
- Strong project management skills required, including ability to create project plans, requirements documents and status presentations independently.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of Project Management principles, frameworks and requirements.
- Strong communications and ability to work with business stakeholders.
- Strongly prefer experience with trade life cycle, Market Risk concepts (e.g., sensitivities, VaR, Stress Testing).
