Position: Lead Data Management Analyst
Location: CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, 28282; Addison, TX; Phoenix, AZ
Term: 24 months

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Partner with DMI, Risk, LOB, IS, and IT teams to establish data security business processes and requirements.
  • Creating and maintaining data access security and governance processes and procedures.
  • Triage and perform data analysis in support of data access and/or data onboarding requests.
  • Partner with data domain teams to support data onboarding governance reviews, data scanning, and/or data access activities through data understanding, data requirements and audit requirements.
  • Daily operational processing including: DIAs, change request reviews, entitlement reviews, and EDP access consultations).
  • Promote data governance and security practices across the data community.
  • Support/drive development of presentations, process flows, documentation as needed, across various audiences.
  • Scanning data review and validation using Regex.
  • Processing fine grain access controls using Privacera and Ranger access administration tools.
  • Provide support to ad-hoc requests as needed.
  • Organize and lead companywide initiatives to ensure that data quality is maintained so that data can effectively support business processes.
  • Oversee analysis and reporting in support of regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and recommend analysis of data quality or integrity issues.
  • Evaluate data quality metrics and data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality.
  • Adhere to data governance standards and procedures.
  • Identify new data sources and develop recommendations for assessing the quality of new data.
  • Lead project teams and mentor less experienced staff members.
  • Recommend remediation of process or control gaps that align to management strategy.
  • Serve as relationship manager for a line of business.
  • Consult with and provide recommendations to senior management regarding assessments of the current state of data and metadata quality within area of assigned responsibility.
  • Represent client in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategies.
  • Partner with groups and various levels of seniority companywide to coordinate and drive collaboration on solution design and remediation execution.


Is this a good fit? (Requirements):

  • 5+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • 2+ years of governance and compliance experience.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience.
  • 5+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Expert level experience with synthesizing input from multiple sources into business requirements, standards, and/or guidelines.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance requirements concerning data privacy and data protection in the financial services industry.
  • Experience defining and/or developing business initiatives that require integration of multiple technology systems.
  • Demonstrated understanding of identity and access management, process workflows, data management policy.
  • Demonstrated skills: attention to detail, high data quality and accuracy, and critical thinking.
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
  • Jira and/or SharePoint experience.
  • Advanced applied knowledge of Regex for validation.
  • Advanced applied knowledge in Privacera or Ranger access administration tools and processes.
