Position: Senior Scrum Master
Location: ADDISON, Texas, 75001
Term: 9 months

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Manage, collaborate, coordinate product area mapping activities impacting L2/L1 tool updates (team members, resources, applications, JIRA boards etc.).
  • Connect engineers across teams within a product area, ensuring the right conversations for partnership are occurring.
  • Partners to sync delivery calendars and socialize needs for potential regression testing across a specific product area (L2).
  • May work with other delivery coordinators to sync up multiple product areas for a given product.
  • Ensures alignment for integrated release readiness, including release plan and documentation is complete.
  • Keeps team up to date on changing policies and standards to ensure adherence and risk awareness.
  • Proactively identify potential slippages, and work towards creating the back-on-track plan.
  • Engage with application teams on the cloud journey and pod team members to collect issues, risks and overall journey updates.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency solutions (like automation oppos) and provide this feedback to engineer team to solution (they will add to their backlog).
  • Cascade and share cloud journey learnings with other teams to prevent inefficient repeated learnings, resulting in increased cloud migration velocity.
  • Collaborate with product owners, program or project managers to communicate delivery of work product from the team and escalate key risks and issues impeding scrum team effectiveness.
  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Facilitate the scrum process with cross functional impact that involve moderately complex projects, non projects, or maintenance work.
  • Guide the scrum teams to follow Agile and Scrum practices to actively promote prioritization, team readiness, and commitment for each Sprint.
  • Optimize scrum team velocity to identify improvement opportunities to achieve higher levels of team performance.
  • Deliver capabilities using agile practices while also following the Software Development Lifecycle, business process mapping, and various release processes as appropriate to ensure all risk, security, and development requirements are met.
  • Partner with discipline managers about governance policies and adherence to corporate standards.
  • Facilitate the Scrum Agile ceremonies for the teams.
  • Collaborate with product owners, program or project managers to communicate delivery of work product from the team and escalate key risks and issues impeding scrum team effectiveness.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Interact with internal customers.
  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.


Is this a good fit? (Requirements):

  • 4+ years of Practicing Agile Scrum Master experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
