LOCATIONS: Atlanta, GA - Various unanticipated long-term project sites throughout the US.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Develop enterprise-grade applications using Java 8/JEE (and higher), Spring, Spring Batch, RESTful Web services, design patterns and databases, among other tools. Use of hands-on experience with Core Java Technologies with attention on multithreading, distributed caching, & fault-tolerant logic. Use of hands-on experience with Big Data Eco system technologies such as (Spark, Kafka) and MongoDB, Elastic, JavaScript, HTML5, AJAX, JSON. Performance tuning distributed applications and building unit tests. Responsible for developing, enhancing, modifying and/or maintaining Risk & Regulatory applications. Engage with key stake holders, internal and external, to understand user requirements. Working with the Business Leads and other development leads to implement technology transformation and Cloud migration plans. Work with other development team members to allow them to implement the designs, including design and code reviews. Take ownership and accountability for the deliverables in all phases of the development lifecycle. Create plans that have a clear path to delivery. Solve for dependencies between agile and waterfall delivery efforts. Assists teams to organize for delivery while maximizing resources for the greater good of the Digital organization. Understand engineering best practices and apply best practices to the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Keep the data structured and clean with modern data management tools. Identify improvement opportunities including automation, process re-engineering and workforce management. Proactively participate in platform design and review activities. Demonstrate knowledge on automating code quality, code performance, unit testing, and build processing in the CI/CD. Event-driven design of Microservices and 12-factor app development standards. Build modern enterprise applications and deploying to public or private clouds including AWS.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related degree. Four (4) years’ related experience as a Tech Lead or related occupation. Experience is required and must include the following: Designing and developing system integration applications utilizing Java/J2EE technologies; Automating code quality, code performance, unit testing, and build processing in the CI/CD; Handling Project life cycle phases of Requirement Analysis, Writing Technical Design Documents, Development of project, Unit, System and UAT testing; and Preparing dashboard for auditing purpose utilizing tools such as Splunk, Spark, and Kibana. *Position allows remote work a couple of days a week.
