Position: Java Developer
Location: CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, 28202
Term: 6 months

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact.
  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs.
  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors.
  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals.
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor.


Is this a good fit? (Requirements):

  • 6-8 years of software engineering experience
  • 4-6 years of J2EE experience
  • 4+ years of experience working with Relationship Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as SQL Server, Oracle or MySQL
  • 1 + years of experience developing Single Page Architecture (SPA) web application using JavaScript, Angular or a combination of both
  • Preferred to have 1-2 Years of No SQL database experience - MongoDB, Cassandra, Etc.
  • 2+ years of experience with Agile project methodologies
  • 2+ years of experience developing and using RESTful Application Program Interface (API)
  • 1+ year of Gradle or Maven experience.
  • Supporting application in Production
  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education.


Nice to Have Skills

  • An industry-standard technology certification.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Web applications experience.
  • Knowledge of MongoDB experience.
  • Knowledge of Technical and business architecture experience.
  • Knowledge of CICD Pipeline experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology object oriented: design patterns and their application.
  • Knowledge and understanding of application testing methodologies, tools, and execution.
  • Knowledge and understanding of database design, estimation, and implementation.
