Position: IT QA Analyst
Location: Enon, Oh
Term: 6 months
 
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Define and manage all project quality standards by independently evaluating and inspecting project deliverables and enforcing quality gates.
  • Detail findings in a clear, concise manner in written and oral form.
  • Direct further actions to project teams, based on quality assessments and findings.
  • Develop and manage an enterprise-wide requirements catalog and test suite.
  • Execute test suites for monthly and weekly releases.
  • Integrate project test plans and scripts into the test catalog/library.
  • Leverage personal experience and judgment to recommend modifications that ensure continuous improvement of department tools and resources.
  • Review and ensure project requirements meet standards.
  • Review and ensure project test plan and test cases cover the project requirements.
  • Provide estimates and timelines for Quality Assurance tasks to Project Managers and Leads.
  • Coordinate testing resources to complete required testing in the determined timeframe.
  • Identify defects found in code and analyze the cause.
  • Communicate defects found to both Projects Managers/Leads and management both verbally and written.
  • Take ownership of a project assignment from start to finish.
  • Report testing results to Release Coordinator.
  • Use HP ALM tool and additional applications for requirements, test plans, test cases, and defects management.
 
Is this a good fit? (Requirements):
  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Able to report to corporate campus located in Enon, Ohio.
  • Detailed knowledge of assigned Speedway applications/systems.
  • Ability to negotiate and stand ground as it relates to compliance to quality standards and a project team’s willingness to adhere.
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel and Word).
  • Extensive test planning and execution abilities.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel and Word).
  • Strong ability with requirements definition and management.
  • Ability to analyze data and make recommendations.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and time management skills.
  • Detailed-oriented, multi-tasker.
  • Client-focused (clients are primarily project teams).
  • Strong analytic skills.
  • Technical background.
 
Even better if you have:
  • Management major.
  • Ability to use automated regression tools.
