Position: IT Info Security Analyst - REMOTE
Location: Des Moines, IA 50392
Term: 6 months

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Work under supervision to consult, provide guidance and set expectations for the implementation of solutions that meet company information security policies and standards.
  • Ensure current and consistent information is provided regarding the enterprise information security program.
  • Meet both internal company business needs and external customer/regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a balance between cost and risk when recommending security controls.
  • Consult and provide guidance and direction to areas on the implementation of secure solutions.
  • Strong analytical mindset, capable of identifying risk and vulnerabilities between controls.
  • Demonstrate skill in scripting languages.
  • Use query languages/syntax to gain valuable insights from data.
  • Knowledge of endpoint and data exploration tools (SIEM, EDM, UEBA, etc.).
  • Self-motivated to find solutions when no clear goal is presented.
  • Effective communicator of complex topics to various audiences at a high level.
  • Security-mindset from a risk perspective.
  • Partner with engineering team to define, build, and deliver solutions and resolve problems.
  • Pursue opportunities to automate or enrich investigation and response processes.
  • Conduct analysis to help determine data loss control effectiveness and recommend solutions to improve data security.
  • Some travel may be required, including overnight stays.
  • May be required to provide on-call support.
  • Comply with a Code of Ethics which covers a number of obligations related to personal and business conduct as well as personal trading activities for you and members of your household. These same requirements may also apply to other positions across the organization.

Is this a good fit? (Requirements):
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 4-6 years of experience as an IT Info Security Analyst.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Planning/organizational, problem-solving, time management, decision-making, and communication skills required, as well as basic presentation skills.
  • Able to effectively communicate routine to moderately complex security related information including plans, strategies, and designs.
  • Able to maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.

Even better if you have:
  • Basic knowledge of insurance and financial services products.
  • Compliance, governance or other security related skills.
  • Basic knowledge of business unit applications.
