Position: Sr. Business Analyst
Location: Local to Addison, TX - Must be able to work on-site Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Term: 8 months

Job Summary: The person should have exposure working in cross functional environments with strong communication skills and the ability to help translate the business needs into department results. This role will support all initiatives for US and Canada app, web, and mobile application projects & Operations as well as work on help implement solutions in Salesforce. Through direct interaction with internal business partners and vendors, the person will play a key role in defining business and technical requirements and work alongside development team for the successful roll-out of products that deliver our company's vision. We are looking for an experienced problem solver and an influencer of positive change. The person should have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. They will be involved in all phases of the software lifecycle with an emphasis on gathering feature requests and requirements, scheduling releases and user acceptance tests, and help coordinating the sprint.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate and coordinate with end-users and stakeholders to identify feature requests, define scope, and confirm technical and business feasibility
  • Collaborate with internal business users, subject matter experts, and external vendors to elicit business concerns and develop workable solutions
  • Business acumen in gathering business requirements and build acceptance criteria, setting expectations on functionality, and working closely with technical team to estimate stories, achieve business approval and collaborations between the business and IT
  • Work with the QA team to prepare test scenarios and data. Work with release coordinator to organize and administer user acceptance testing sessions prior to production deployment
  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements. This includes using powerful analysis and modeling tools to match strategic business objectives with practical technical solutions
  • At regular intervals in the project life cycle, safeguard and protect the business and users needs by verifying functionality, accuracy, and completeness of the requirements against the original documents.
  • Analyze system and business data to align with project requirements and functional documentation
  • Assist in execution of project life cycle, including as-is and to be analysis, scope definition, process improvement and testing in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Assist with problem solving and issue resolution - including communication with internal business partners
  • Keep track of development progress towards feature releases in an Agile/Scrum environment by participating in scrum ceremonies, estimation, backlog refinement and prioritization, and by providing input on improving our processes in a highly iterative fashion

Preferred Experience:

  • Looking for candidates with 2+ years experience working on new and enhancement projects
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office,
  • Agile and story boarding experience preferred
  • Experience working with Jira, Azure Dev Ops, and Agile methodology environment
  • Experience in writing Microsoft SQL queries
  • Strong communication skills who can tailor their style based on the types of audience and are able to facilitate discussions that involve opposing viewpoints, tough decisions, and urgent follow-up items
  • Experience Salesforce Service Cloud with user
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus
