Guidewire PolicyCenter Business Analyst - REMOTE

This nationwide insurance industry leader has an immediate 6+ month contract opportunity (with strong chance for extension) for a Guidewire PolicyCenter Business Analyst for a Property & Casualty modernization project.  

This position requires the following Guidewire experience:
  • 5+ years’ experience with both OOTB Guidewire functionality and client customizations for Guidewire PolicyCenter for Property and Casualty Insurance companies.
  • 5+ years’ experience working with business associates to translate P&C business process maps/workflows into low level Guidewire requirements documentation.
  • 2+ years’ experience in requirements elicitation for PolicyCenter for both Configuration and Integration requirements for 3rd party vendors or Document mapping experience.
  • Experience with mapping for systems conversions, converting legacy data into formats consumable by GW PolicyCenter.
  • Experience eliciting and documenting requirements for customized  Business Rules, Activities, Underwriting Issues, Rate Books, Roles and Permissions, and other Administration data within the Guidewire application(s).
  • Experience working with both the business and IT stakeholders to groom user stories / defects in the product backlog.
  • Experience consolidating and streamlining complex requirements for ease of use by the project team(s).
  • Experience integrating user experience needs into existing requirements to improve ease of use.

General BA proficiencies:

•    Advanced skills in requirements elicitation for business processes and system functionality.
•    Advanced requirements elicitation and design for strategic business and system projects and/or enhancements.
•    Advanced skill in general analysis as well as gap analysis
•    Advanced skill in generating multiple types of business and/or system process documentation
•    Advanced skills in identifying and designing business and/or system improvements
•    Advanced ability in facilitating communications between business and technical resources
•    Ability to coordinate/manage small sized projects/tasks
•    Advanced knowledge of software development life cycle principles
•    Works with others, provides feedback and guidance to less experienced staff
•    5+ years business analyst experience
•    BA professional certification preferred (CBAP, CCBA, PBA)
•    Team focused.
•    Strong analytical and technical skills.
•    Effective written and verbal communications in a professional manner to management, business 

Responsibilities:

•    Carry out procedures to ensure that all information technology solutions and services meet company standards and user requirements.
•    Liaison between the business user groups and the technical systems groups.
•    Assist with the creation of the business case.
•    Plan and monitor project deliverables.
•    Perform gap analysis.
•    Elicit functional and non-functional requirements.
•    Requirements analysis and design.
•    Translate, simplify and organize requirements.
•    Requirements management and communication.
•    Design, document, and maintain business and/or system processes.
•    Identify and design business/system improvement opportunities.
•    Issue analysis.
•    Work cross-functionally to assist with problem solving and project plan activities.
•    Respond to inquiries, requests in a timely fashion.
