Position: Google Cloud Platform Engineer
Location: Dallas, Texas 75201
Hourly Rate: $62.50/hr.
Term: 6 Months Contract
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Develops and maintains enhances client systems

Enhances client systems or participates in the specification by designing and developing new features at client or business request.

Tests client systems of moderate to high complexity.

Designs and implements strategic partner integrations.
-
Participates in the evaluation of new platforms, tools, and technologies.

Serves as the primary technical point of contact on client engagements of moderate to high complexity and of high value to the organization.

Own issues end-to-end working collaboratively with cloud team and peers.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Is it a good fit? (Requirements):
-
2-4 years of GCP experience as a data engineer and cloud architect, including:
-
Understanding how to configure access and security as needed (Cloud Identity & Access Management)

Development of machine templates and blueprints with GCP
-
Leveraging multiple GCP services related to data management, storage, workflows and scalability (e.g., BigQuery, PubSub, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, etc.)

Proficiency in SQL Skills (i.e., DML and DDL).

Strong understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS) concepts, including primary/foreign keys, indexing, data types, referential integrity, ERD, etc.
Even better if you have:

Familiarity with multiple GCP APIs (Cloud Storage, Vision, Logging, Monitoring, Stackdriver, Google App Engine, DLP, NLP, Cloud Tasks).

Experience with IOT data

Minimum 2 certifications in GCP

Working knowledge or experience with Java, HTML and/or JQuery is a plus

Experience with web mapping tools and spatial databases is a plus.
