POSITION: GIS Analyst
LOCATIONS: Atlanta, GA - Various unanticipated long-term project sites throughout the US.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Generate yearly DOT report by using Python and ArcGIS product. Modify and write programs, and implement the DOT report procedures to meet the report standards and requirements. Create new assessment plan, DA Survey range, and ILI Survey range feature class for Integrity group by using ArcGIS Pro. Communicate with Integrity group customers and provide explanations and/or information on GIS concepts. Quality Analysis of new GIS application. Provide technical support to IT, communicate with internal and external customers, test the new version of GIS application, and retest existing defect. Organize legacy GPS points and create GPS point Feature Classes by using Model builder in ArcGIS Pro and ArcMap. Update High Consequence Area layer by using HCA business rule tool. Work on As-Built transition project by using location referencing system in ArcGIS Pro. Update, modify, and maintain the distribution main line geodatabase. QA (Quality Analysis)/QC (Quality Control) and update service line information on the map.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s in Geospatial Information Systems, Geospatial Information Science, Geographical Information Systems, or related. Knowledge is required and must include the following: AutoCAD, pipeline and/or GPS; ArcGIS; ERSI; and the Utilities industry.
