Grow your career as a Financial Data Analyst with an innovative global bank in Tampa, FL. Long-term contract with excellent growth potential. Will be required to be onsite 2-3 days per week. Will work collaboratively with the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) Central Coordination Team to help strengthen company’s FR Y-14 reporting process.
  • Supporting review for key regulatory reports (Y9C/Call, Y14 and extend to other reports) with a focus on various financial products (securities, wholesale / retail loans, derivatives, SFTs, debt, etc.) and balances (including P&L, average balances) used in above mentioned regulatory reports.
  • Review key reporting production process documentation to identify data elements used by above mentioned key regulatory reports.
  • Work with stakeholders (report owner, report producer and other key SMEs supporting reporting production) to document and maintain risk based Critical Data Elements used.
  • Review existing data quality controls and design fit-for-purpose data quality requirements.
  • Work with technology to implement data quality rules and perform User Acceptance Test.
  • Work with report owner and report production team to monitor Data Quality Exceptions to identify real data concerns/issues as well as corresponding reporting impact and document accordingly.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 8+ years of SQL experience.
  • 4+ years of data analysis experience. Experience within finance, accounting or related field, the financial services industry preferred.
  • Data and regulatory experience required.
  • CFA or CPA certifications preferred.
  • Familiar with report production process, especially how data is being used by various regulatory reports (Y14 or Y9C).
  • Familiar with at least one financial products (securities, or derivatives and SFTs, or wholesale loans, or retail loans) and data representing this (or multiple) financial products.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel.
  • Proficiency in data analytical tool such as SQL, Power BI a plus.
  • Experience in the company’s finance organization and processes that span geographic, functional and business perspectives a plus.
  • Project management experience, Agile project management, Scrum methodology desirable.
